Mr. Bressi’s primary areas of expertise involve financial remedies, bankruptcy, business litigation, and secured transactions involving real property.

Memberships:
Past-President of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and a long-time member of its Board of Directors. Member of the Board of Directors of the California Bankruptcy Forum.

Member of the Orange County Bar Association (“OCBA”), Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section, Financial Lawyers Conference, California Bankruptcy Forum, and California Receivers Forum. Former OCBA Section Chair and former OCBA Educational Programs Chair. Served for three years as the Program Chair and Moderator for the OCBA Bankruptcy Judges’ Night.

Special Notes:
Mr. Bressi had a somewhat eclectic past before becoming an attorney including being a member of a construction union, owning a small construction company, holding real estate sales and broker’s licenses, and building hundreds of homes.

After graduating law school, Mr. Bressi served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Geraldine Mund, former Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge, Central District of California.

Ms. Jackie Brome
Senior Vice President in Real Estate Solutions

Berkadia Commercial Mortgage Inc.

Ms. Brome has approximately 28 years of loan origination, development, loan and REO workout experience.   As a senior asset manager and team leader, her responsibilities include asset management (workouts and creditor rights enforcement) of specially serviced CMBS loans on various types of collateral properties throughout the United States with a specialty in hospitality properties.  Ms. Brome also has been responsible for balance sheet assets and equity workouts on LIHTC assets.

Before joining Capmark, Ms. Brome was a vice president and Western Division manager with Lend Lease, and earlier, AMRESCO, responsible for balance sheet loans, CMBS loans and REO assets.  Prior to joining AMRESCO, she held senior management positions in several affiliates of Robert M. Bass Realty.  Ms. Brome’s background also includes working for a number of savings and loans, banks and consulting to the RTC and FDIC.

Ms. Brome has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and is a California licensed real estate broker.

Patrick Galentine
Principal
Coreland Companies

Patrick Galentine is one of the founding Principals of Coreland Companies. His primary responsibilities include procuring equity and debt financing, strategic planning, developing acquisition and disposition strategies, as well as asset management and leasing plans for commercial property owners.

He has directed the management of over 50 million square feet of commercial property throughout California and has acted as a State Court Receiver on more than 250 matters.

Prior to forming Coreland Companies in 1990, Mr. Galentine was responsible for the management and operations of a 5 million-square-foot portfolio of retail properties located throughout Southern California.

He has a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Investments from the University of Southern California and holds a California Department of Real Estate broker license. He is currently on the Building Owners Managers Association (BOMA) Orange County Advisory Board, and is formerly the Southern California Operations Chairman-Orange County for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).  Mr. Galentine is active in a variety of charitable organizations in Southern California.

W. Eric Paulsen
Vice President – Acquisitions/Dispositions
LNR Property Corporation

Mr. Paulsen has been involved in the real estate industry for the past 22 years, focusing primarily on acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate. In 2000, Mr. Paulsen joined LNR Property Corporation as Manager of Dispositions, responsible for the underwriting and sale of LNR assets.  Two years later, Mr. Paulsen was elevated to Vice President-Acquisitions/Dispositions and given the responsibilities of acquisitions and dispositions nationwide, tracking deal flow, underwriting cash flows, performing due diligence, and closings.  In this capacity, Mr. Paulsen sits on the Investment Committee and oversees all acquisition/disposition financial underwriting, the LNR Marketing Group and related administrative staff.

Prior to joining LNR, Mr. Paulsen was a Vice President at CB Richard Ellis for 12 years focused on investment sales.  At CBRE, Mr. Paulsen was involved in the sale of 96 properties consisting of 10.6 million square feet with an approximate market value of $950M.

Union Bank

Ben Wood is Vice President and Manager of Union Bank’s Commercial Banking Real Estate Department which is responsible for supporting all investor and owner occupied real estate lending for Commercial, Retail and Private Banking customers.  Investor loan programs include permanent and lines of credit while owner occupied programs also include bridge, construction, SBA and bond financing.  The portfolio Mr. Wood manages exceeds $2.6B.

Ben is a 33 year veteran of the real estate industry.  He started his career with New York Life Insurance in New York and has subsequently held various management positions as a lender and mortgage banker.

Mr. Wood has been an active participant in the real estate industry and has been a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the CMSA, ICSC, NAIOP and Bay Area Mortgage Bankers Association.  He has spoken at various industry functions and has been an instructor at UCI’s Extension School.
